Isis Runway Skirt : Fun, Fancy, Functional

I admit it: I just love that little flounce that gives the Runway Skirt its sassy appeal. It's feminine and fun, a splash of flair in just the right place. And it transforms this basic, do-it-all skirt into a compliment magnet.

The Runway is absolutely appropriate for the office, where its stretchy, silky fabric eases the rigors of a 12-hour day. It's equally at home at happy hour, where its pizzazz makes the Runway seem ready for play. I've even paired it with a t-shirt and worn it to outdoor concerts. It may look delicate, but this little number is actually rugged enough to handle outdoor rigors with aplomb.

Its drape is wonderfully figure-flattering, and the wide waistband feels forgiving around my middle. Plus, the clean, simple styling lets the Runway pair with almost any top, from dressy blouses to tanks. If I had to own one skirt only, this would be it.

Its cap sleeves flatter my arms and make the Destination Dress appropriate for a range of temperatures. I threw on a little cropped cardigan for chilly nights, and wore it with flip-flops when the sun got hot. A hidden pocket at the hem, big enough for a room key and a couple of folded bills, let me leave my shoulder bag at home for short outings. And the silky yet durable fabric felt great to the touch but stayed snag-free through plenty of miles.
