Tomboy Dress by Title Nine : It's a Knockout

You really haven't lived until you've found the perfect little black dress. And you really can't fully enjoy summer either.

We have our cool summer evenings here in Seattle, but when I wear my Tomboy Dress (made by Horny Toad for Title Nine), it's hot, hot, hot!

I love this sweet, elegant pull-over dress because it's loose enough to hang nicely and form-fitting enough to complement my figure. The athletic cut is ideal, too -- no sagging arm holes, wide shoulder straps, and a modest neckline (but not so modest that you can't wear something shiny around your neck). It's built for movement, but can pull double duty as a casual evening dress.

I have to add here that this little black dress is also a secret weapon. Men cannot resist it. I don't want to sound conceited or anything--I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder..and that late at night men say all sorts of sweet things, but the last time I wore this, my boyfriend said I looked like Jamie Lee Curtis. I'll take a compliment like that any day (or night).

I've worn mine to cocktail parties and for power walks. In fact, once I put it on, I tend to wear it all day, all night. It's so comfortable that I barely notice I'm wearing anything. I love that Horny Toad had active women in mind when they made this dress; there's a small security pocket on the inside hem of the jacket. Perfect for a credit card and key.

I used to think cotton was the best fabric, but Horny Toad has convinced me otherwise. Their Flexcel fabric is a blend of cotton and tencel, an environmentally-friendly plant-based fiber, with just a bit of polyester and spandex. The Tomboy Dress feels buttery soft, yet has a substanial feel to it. I can toss it in an overnight bag, wear it all weekend, wash it on Sunday, and it's dry and good to go on Monday.

Available in several colors, in addition to black. Also avalable in a short-sleeved style. Note on sizing: This dress seems to run big. I'm always a size M in dresses, and had to go down to a small.
